Basketball Ireland (B.I.) is the national governing body for the sport on the island of Ireland.
In the lead up to their National Cup finals, Basketball Ireland had a complex 5 game schedule over three days at the National Basketball Arena.
The complexity was added to by the fact that there was very limited capacity. To ensure fans of all the clubs competing had an equal chance, customers purchased their club tickets via individual hidden URL’s. Each URL led you to a site where an allocation of tickets had been given to each club for their relevant session.
Once the fans had bought any remaining tickets were released for general sale.
This obviously provided a challenge for fans to only be admitted into the sessions they had specifically bought for.
The Future Ticketing platform was able to sell the tickets (both to individual clubs and general sale).
Their flexible scanning and access management functionality meant any customer attempting to go to a session they had not bought tickets for was declined by our scanners.
In addition, we were able to provide multi-barcode tickets for dignitaries with each barcode scanning into individual sessions.
