Basketball Ireland

Basketball Ireland (B.I.) is the national governing body for the sport on the island of Ireland.

In the lead up to their National Cup finals, Basketball Ireland had a complex five game schedule over three days at the National Basketball Arena.

The complexity was added to by very limited capacity. To ensure fans of all the clubs competing had an equal chance of attending customers purchased their club tickets via individual hidden URL’s. Each URL led you to a site where an allocation of tickets had been given to each club for their relevant session.

Priority purchase was given to the fans first then any remaining tickets were released for general sale.

It was a challenge to ensure fans only be admitted into the sessions they had specifically bought for.

The Future Ticketing platform provided the perfect solution and enabled Basketball Ireland to sell the tickets both to individual clubs and general sale.

With flexible scanning and access management functionality our scanners could identify and decline customers attempting to go to a basketball session they had not bought tickets for.

In addition, we were able to provide multi-barcode tickets for dignitaries with each barcode scanning into individual sessions
