Down Royal is a modern racecourse with a rich racing history dating back to 1685.

The racecourse hosts both Flat and National Hunt fixtures and highlights include the Northern Ireland Festival of Racing and the Ulster Derby. In total the racecourse hosts 11 colour and enjoyable race meetings each year.

In 2018, new CEO Emma Meehan was looking at ways to increase commercial revenue and increase engagement with current and new racegoers.

Implementing the Future Ticketing platform saw an immediate increase in revenue and a significant increase in customer satisfaction. The role-out of the system saw:

A large increase in online sales for general admission and hospitality.
An increase in advanced revenue with the added benefit of this revenue immediately going into the bank.
Smoother communication increases levels of service by real-time reporting and access control information for hospitality guests being communicated to entrance, hospitality and catering teams.
An increase in Annual Membership numbers.
