Fife Flyers

Fife Flyers, established in 1938, is the oldest professional ice hockey team in the UK and plays in the Elite Ice Hockey League since 2011.

The club plays in famous Fife Ice Arena, its home for 86 years when it opened as the Kirkcaldy Ice Rink. Today, the arena has a capacity of 3,280 and hosts a range of events including figure and public skating, speed skating, curling and ice shows. In the past, the arena has also hosted boxing, concerts and wrestling.

Challenge

Fife Flyers was an early adopter of Future Ticketing’s high-performance platform, with the club seeking to begin its digital transformation with a state-of-the-art partner provider.

Solution

The 3000-capacity stadium enables customers to purchase seated or standing tickets with ease and to store their tickets in Future Ticketing’s digital ticketing app through either Apple or Google Wallet. This facility greatly reduces administration for staff, makes the club sustainable and provides easy access to tickets on game night for customers.
